Poured in Place
Poured in place rubber playground surfaces are a durable 2-layer system. The base layer consists of
100% post-consumer recycled Styrene Butadiene Rubber or SBR for short mixed with polyurethane. The
top layer consists of a recycled post-industrial Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer or EPDM mixed with
polyurethane. The thickness of the layers is determined after inspection of the playground to ensure all
standards and safety thresholds are met or exceeded.
Poured in place rubber playground surfaces are not only durable but also a permanent surface option
making it safe, long-lasting and virtually maintenance free. The rubber playground surface mater is
customizable for depth, color, shape and design. Pour in place method allows for a recreational flooring
surface that is safe and durable with virtually limitless custom design options.
National Playground Surfacing will mix and apply the components of poured in place on site. This will
allow school colors, logos, games and geometric shapes and designs to be permanently incorporated
into the surface.
